Last week, senior Jacob Biney broke the school’s standing vertical leap record. At 42 inches, Jacob’s jump cleared the old record by 3 inches. “I couldn’t believe the number when I saw it,” Jacob said. The rest of Coach Derby’s class was just as astonished as Jacob. “The class average was about 26 inches. He got 42,” said senior classmate Ari Looney. Rather than comparing it to Freeman classmates, Jacob’s jump should be compared to some other familiar names. (Scroll down for the picture!)
Recorded Vertical Leaps —
Antonio Brown: 34 inches
Kobe Bryant: 38 inches
LeBron James: 40 inches
Jacob Biney: 42 inches
Jacob’s vertical leap puts him with — or above — some of the greatest athletes of all time. Congrats Jacob!
