Vey Schefte is a junior exchange student from Norway. Not only is she unique in this aspect of her life, but she happens to be quite the busy bee around Richmond. Participating in two varsity sports and a weightlifting course offered here at Freeman, as well as swimming at Nova of Virginia Aquatics, her schedule is chalk full.
“Swimming is my favorite. I decided to keep running because I met so many nice people on the cross country team.”
She says America is very different from her home country.
“There’s so much fast food here. There’s way more than at home. In Norway people are also more shy, but here, everyone is welcoming.”
